Spencer Morgan

Founder and Chief Community Officer • Favorite Group Activities: Skiing, Martial Arts

Eleven years ago, Spencer founded Grouper with the goal of encouraging more people to participate in group activities. He was first inspired while covering the Senior Games as a journalist and later after visiting with clubs in active adult communities, hearing from members whose lives had been transformed by fun groups of fellow enthusiasts. To Spencer, America is a diverse and beautiful patchwork of interest groups and associations. His mission is to help every club flourish and help every individual find their club. Spencer’s group activities of choice are Muay Thai kickboxing and skiing with his daughters. His wife and daughters and dogs are the center of his universe.

Theresa Soriano Updated Headshot October 2024

Theresa Soriano, MD MPH

Chief Health Officer • Favorite Group Activities: Meals with friends, Volunteering, "Apres-run"

Theresa joins Grouper with over 20 years of broad clinical, academic and leadership experience in primary care, home-based medical care, population health, and clinical strategy and innovation. As a physician providing home-based medical care and support to seriously ill patients and their families, Theresa saw firsthand how her work connecting patients and caregivers to meaningful social connections in their communities, or even just her presence and listening ear, was as healing for them as were many medications she would prescribe. This motivation to incorporate and address social health in healthcare delivery models has characterized Theresa’s practice as a physician, and the programs and initiatives she has pioneered. She has been blessed with role models in seeing her parents build a network when they immigrated to the US from the Philippines. A natural introvert, Theresa cherishes running on her own, but loves getting together with close friends and family afterwards!

Applying these attributes in collaboration with the Grouper team has been a natural fit for Ed, and a rewarding next step in his career. When he steps away from the Grouper community, Ed enjoys the constant group activity on his front porch while living north of Boston under one roof with his wife and two daughters, his mom and his wife’s parents.
